It Happens Twice a Year, at least

It is predictable.  Every year around Easter and around Christmas, you see headlines like these:

• a lost "gospel" has been found
• Jesus is a myth
• There is no evidence for a "historical" man named Jesus

Why?  To cast doubt, to defeat faith, to make Christians look stupid for believing a "fairy tale."  Here is an article that inspired my rant.

I just shake my head.  Who are these people who push this fake news?  People who are ignorant in their disbelief, who are headstrong in advancing their agenda to the point that it is ludicrous that they purposely ignore the truth.

• the people martyred for their faith throughout history
• all the hymns written about the faith
• all the art inspired by the Bible
• the miracle of the Word's compilation and survival
• archaeological evidence discovered that supports Bible accounts
• the way in which "sinners" become "saints"

At least be intellectually honest about your motives.  You are choosing not to believe, in spite of a mountain of evidence.  I choose to believe because I take God at His Word and I live to bring Him glory and point others to Him.
