Rights. A word that is bandied about today. Everyone wants to make sure that their rights are not infringed upon. But in so defending their rights, they often quash other people's rights.
SCOTUS has agreed to hear this case from Colorado.
It is a shame that a court has to decide this issue. I remember a time that if a business owner didn't want to do a job, a customer could try somewhere else. To force someone to use their skills to serve someone they don't want to is akin to slavery especially since there are plenty of others willing to do it. Our country has so many choices. A barista at one coffee shop ticks you off, you can cross the street and find another. A bank ticks you off with stinky customer service, there are hundreds of other choices. To force providers of personal services to serve you because you want to set a precedent is a form of social terrorism.
To say you cannot serve God the way in which you believe He would have you serve is tyranny of thought. God himself grants us freedoms.
