R.C. Sproul passed away last week at the age of 78. Here you can read his impact on many of our modern Christian leaders. His ministry also had an impact on me. I was introduced to his teachings when I was a young mother. My days were full of caring for two babies which I loved but did not provide much in the area of intellectual stimulation. Enter R.C. Sproul books, most of which were over my head. His books stretched me, educated me and led me to the unshakable belief of the inerrancy of scripture for which I will be eternally grateful.
Another story that touched my heart was this one. One of my regrets as a mother was introducing video games into our home. I look back at the money we spent on consoles and games and now wish we had invested the money in ministry. But I have learned my lesson and will choose to be a different kind of grandparent than I was a parent and use my influence to teach my future grandkids (should God bless me in that way) to be eternally minded.
