25 At that time Jesus declared, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; 26 yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. 27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. 28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." [Mat 11:25-30 ESV]
Even Jesus thanks the Father for blessings and tender mercies. If we are trying to be more like Him, then we should thank the Father too.
You may be the smartest person in the world, but if you do not have a relationship with God, then all you possess is knowledge. Wisdom is far from you.
We know the Father via the Son.
Life is hard, but Jesus provides rest, both physically and mentally when we rest in Him.
His yoke is easier to bear than religious rules. Gentle and lowly is similar to meek and humble. Jesus is a beloved Master who makes available a "blessed tranquility" for your soul. I know when my soul is tired, because I feel it physically, mentally and spiritually and my only motivation is to hide away from everyone and everything.
Jesus' yoke is beneficial for us and His burden is easy to bear as He is our strength.
