Timely Tuesday

I guess I missed this story when it first came out three weeks ago.

I disagree that we need to unhitch.  Jesus held OT Scripture in high regard and taught from it.  Everytime in the NT where it says "...as it was written..." it takes you back to OT Scripture.  The OT history points to the person of Christ who was with God before the foundation of the world, the need for His Advent and bringing of a New Covenant.

I want to know everything about Jesus.  He was Jewish.  To understand Him, I need to understand His history and I don't consider it a propping up.  I find it adds depth to my faith.  Gentiles are the branch that has been grafted in. 

All of Scripture is essential to knowing and understanding our God.  I find Him on every page.  Just because I don't comprehend it all, doesn't mean I should disregard it because God preserved His Word for a purpose.
