Some hours, some days, some seasons need a whole lot of hope. So I thought we would take a look at hope this month.
Today's verses take a look at hope in the book of Job. Job was definitely going through a tough time because God allowed Satan to test him. Job's wife and his friends were of little assistance, in fact they probably added to his sorrow. Job is an example to us. When tough times come, there is a purpose although we may not know it and in those tough times, our hope must rest with God.
[Job 4:6 ESV] 6 Is not your fear of God your confidence, and the integrity of your ways your hope?
If our ways follow His, then He is our hope
[Job 6:8 ESV] 8 "Oh that I might have my request, and that God would fulfill my hope,
God will always know what is best for us, so our hope in Him is trustworthy
[Job 8:13 ESV] 13 Such are the paths of all who forget God; the hope of the godless shall perish.
Without God, there is no reason to hope
[Job 11:18 ESV] 18 And you will feel secure, because there is hope; you will look around and take your rest in security.
Not only is God love, He is also hope
[Job 13:15 ESV] 15 Though he slay me, I will hope in him; yet I will argue my ways to his face.
The first part of this verse is one of my life verses
[Job 27:8 ESV] 8 For what is the hope of the godless when God cuts him off, when God takes away his life?
There would be no hope after this event
