Word Study Wednesday

Based on where our country finds itself currently, I thought taking a look at the word "false" could be timely.  Let's begin with the last book in the Bible:

[Rev 2:2 ESV] 2 "'I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false.

There are people in the world who are false through and through.  Even within the church.  Whether they do it on purpose or they are totally unaware that can be hard to tell.  I myself know people who can't help but be dishonest every time they open their mouths.  I don't judge them, I feel sorry for them.  It must be a horrible way to live.

[Rev 16:13 ESV] 13 And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs.
[Rev 19:20 ESV] 20 And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.
[Rev 20:10 ESV] 10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

In the end times, the unholy trinity will be false and deceiving the part of the world that is not under the protection of God.

[Rev 21:27 ESV] 27 But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life.

But God will not let anyone or anything that is false in the eternal city.  That is something to look forward to.
