[2Ki 17:15 ESV] 15 They despised his statutes and his covenant that he made with their fathers and the warnings that he gave them. They went after false idols and became false, and they followed the nations that were around them, concerning whom the LORD had commanded them that they should not do like them.
Beware what you place your beliefs in because they will define your life. Follow lies and your life becomes nothing but lies.
[Pro 6:19 ESV] 19 a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.
Falsity leads to other bad things. Lies lead to discord which leads to hatred which leads to chaos.
[Pro 17:7 ESV] 7 Fine speech is not becoming to a fool; still less is false speech to a prince.
We must not tolerate falseness in leaders. Those with responsibility must speak truth with righteous motives.
[Jer 48:30 ESV] 30 I know his insolence, declares the LORD; his boasts are false, his deeds are false.
If boasts and deeds are false, what can be true? His character is pretty much set on the path of falsehood.
[Hos 10:2 ESV] 2 Their heart is false; now they must bear their guilt. The LORD will break down their altars and destroy their pillars.
Being false becomes a downward spiral way of life. The Lord will take action against such a person who puts their efforts into false living.
