Monday Meditation

[Jhn 16:4-11 ESV] 4 But I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you may remember that I told them to you. "I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you

Jesus taught and spoke of all the disciples and we need to know.

5 But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, 'Where are you going?'

How He must have longed to be back at the Father's side.

6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.

I would be sad too to no longer to walk and talk with Jesus in the flesh.

7 Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.

He and the Father know what is best for us.  They wanted to send the Spirit to us because just like them, He also has an important role to play in our life.

8 And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment

The world needs conviction so badly.

9 concerning sin, because they do not believe in me

The sin that will cost you everything...the rejection of your Savior.

10 concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer;

There is only one way to become righteous in the Father's eyes, through His beloved Son.

11 concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

The end is already determined for the devil.  God, three-in-one will prevail.  Hallelujah!
