Monday Meditation

[1Co 6:9-11 ESV] 9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

None of us are righteous on our own.  We need Jesus' righteousness to cover our unrighteousness.  I want to inherit the kingdom of God...I want to live there for eternity.  Am I more worthy than others?  Absolutely not.  I would be nothing without Christ.  Because I believe Him and His Word and do my best to become more like Him and live by His Word, His righteousness covers me.  Here is the great news, His mercy, grace, forgiveness and righteousness is available to everyone...even the worst of the worst.  Isn't that amazing?
