Friday Focus

Wow, its been a couple of weeks since I've done one of these because life speeds up when life gets back in its regular groove.

  • still plugging along thru my chosen devotional "Book of Mysteries."  Still enjoying it.
  • still following my chronological reading and am about to finish up Genesis.
  • making progress in sorting out my end times philosophy.  God is being gracious and granting me new insights.
  • had our second session of the Genesis bible study, Chapters 6-11.  Really good discussion.  As a teacher/facilitator you learn so much from the participants.
Have I zeroed in my annual discipline yet?  No I haven't.  Either I'm avoiding making a decision because I really don't want to because it will be difficult (which probably means I should do it) or I'm already doing it so it wouldn't feel like such a sacrifice.  So still thinking about it.  If you have any suggestions, by all means, send them my way.

The last time, I mentioned I was going to have to do something sad and I hoped God would use me as encouragement to the family.  Something else happened... I was ministered to.  I saw a family live out their faith in the midst of tragedy and stand to be a strong witness to God's sovereignty in their lives.

Lastly, my heart is still burdened by persecuted Christians around the world.  Here are two organizations to follow if you care about this issue:  (1) and (2)
