For the weekend...

So you don't have to put up with my musings on living the Christian life every day (besides, I'm only going to be posting Monday-Friday), I've designated Fridays as the day to provide links to an inspiring article I've read during the week, a favorite hymn and a Christian thought  to ponder.  So here you go:

I cringe whenever I hear someone, especially a politician say "God Bless America!"  Why would God even consider blessing our country when we are in such open rebellion to Him in so many areas?  This article states the case clearly.

A Favorite Hymn

A Mighty Fortress is Our God was written by Martin Luther and like many old hymns is very deep theologically.  Read the lyrics and listen to it here

Thought to Ponder

Knowing the Bible is one thing, Knowing the Author is another.  I have met people who were miles ahead of me in Bible knowledge, but they were some of the saddest people ever because they lacked the joy of knowing Jesus and becoming more like Him.
