First the dictionary definition:

Conformity to fact or reality; exact accordance with that which is, or has been, or shall be. The truth of history constitutes its whole value. We rely on the truth of the scriptural prophecies.
True state of facts or things. The duty of a court of justice is to discover the truth. Witnesses are sworn to declare the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
Conformity of words to thoughts, which is called moral truth.
Veracity; purity from falsehood; practice of speaking truth; habitual disposition to speak truth; as when we say, a man is a man of truth.
Now, the Strong's definition of the Greek word alētheia which is translated in the Bible as truth in the New Testament:
what is true in any matter under consideration
what is true in things appertaining to God and the duties of man, moral and religious truth
the truth as taught in the Christian religion, respecting God and the execution of his purposes through Christ, and respecting the duties of man
that candour of mind which is free from affection, pretence, simulation, falsehood, deceit
And finally, the Strong's definition of the Hebrew word 'emeth which is translated in the Bible as truth in the Old Testament:
firmness, faithfulness, truth, sureness, reliability, stability, continuance, faithfulness, reliableness
