But "humble" isn't cool

or is it?

The world for sure doesn't understand it.  Worldly thinking likes the bold, the brash and the attention seeking.  Crazy hair colors, tatoos, piercings, shocking clothing & behavior and selfie, selfie, selfie; just to name a few.

But God,

it seems places great value on humbleness.  In fact, he considers the proud as opponents; in other words,  He is not on their side:

[Jas 4:6 ESV] 6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble."

[1Pe 5:5 ESV] 5 Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."

Just a concept to ponder.
