Prophets. Can't wait to meet them someday. It is my impression they had to be somewhat dramatic in delivering God's message. For example:
[Jer 23:9 KJV] 9 Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of the words of his holiness.
Immediately, I understand this. When confronted with God's holiness, I am overwhelmed by my lack of holiness if it weren't for Christ. Holiness slaps you up the side of the head and gets in your face and says "try harder" and "you can do better."
[Amo 4:2 KJV] 2 The Lord GOD hath sworn by his holiness, that, lo, the days shall come upon you, that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fishhooks.
If you don't pursue holiness as God defines it, there are consequences. I'm pretty sure I don't want to find out what fishhooks are like.
[Luk 1:75 KJV] 75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
So, do your best to make each day better than the day before; seeking to improve your holiness before God.
[Heb 12:14 KJV] 14 Follow peace with all [men], and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Because, I want to see Him. Don't you?
