Timely Tuesday

Have you all been following the case of Charlie Gard?  You have two parents who are fighting for his life in a socialized medicine setting where government bureaucrats and his medical guardian (a hospital) have decided his life has no value because of a rare mitochondrial condition and that he is brain dead.  He should be allowed to die with dignity they say.

My question is this:  what if it was my child?  Wouldn't I do everything in my power to see that my child had a chance at life?  You can read more about his parent's point of view here

God has much to say about life and death:

[Gen 2:7 ESV] then the LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.

[Exo 4:11 ESV] Then the LORD said to him, "Who has made man's mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the LORD?

God has a purpose for each life, no matter if others can't see the value.

[Lev 24:17 ESV] Whoever takes a human life shall surely be put to death.

[Deu 30:19 ESV] I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live,

Life is a precious gift.  We should defend it always.

[Job 12:10 ESV] In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.

Only He has the say of when life on earth is over.

[Psa 86:14 ESV] O God, insolent men have risen up against me; a band of ruthless men seeks my life, and they do not set you before them.

[Psa 94:21 ESV] They band together against the life of the righteous and condemn the innocent to death.

Do you want someone you don't know evaluating your life and deciding nope, your life isn't worth living?

[Jhn 10:10 ESV] The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

[1Co 7:17 ESV] Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him. This is my rule in all the churches.

My prayer is God can bring a true miracle out of this whole situation that makes the world stop and take notice that He is the author of each life.
