[Mat 16:24 KJV] Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
[Mat 16:25 KJV] For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
[Mat 16:26 KJV] For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
What is your cross? It is different for each of us based on what God determines is best for us. Our method is to deal with that cross by following Him.
If you live your life the way you want, only consulting yourself, you are forfeiting your life of blessings from Him here on earth and losing your eternal life spent in His presence.
Adoration and success from the world is not worth the cost to your eternal soul. Instead live for what God values.
