I am a person who is very sensitive to noise.  Certain noises at certain pitches drive me insane until I can think of nothing else until it ceases (for example the back up beeping of the forklifts in Home Depot).  So I value silence and wish sometimes that I could experience it more often than I do.  This article explains it so well from the spiritual perspective.
