[Rev 4:9-11 ESV] 9 And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever,
Those created by God are privileged to give Him glory and honor and thanks. He is the one, true God. He has always existed. He always will exist. In a world where nothing lasts forever, I find this such a comforting thought.
10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
Everyone worships Him in the throne room that John is given a glimpse of. Imagine when everyone realizes that He is God. Perhaps you knew it all along. Perhaps you hoped it all along. Perhaps you were skeptical all along. Perhaps you dismissed it all along. Then the realization hits for everyone, God does exist, God is real and I am unworthy to be in His presence, so I will offer all that I am and all that I have because I need to worship Him like never before. Even the 24 elders, that were legends in Judeo/Christian history know that it is all and for His glory.
11 "Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created."
Think of everything God has done through the ages. What has been, what is currently and what will be before our eyes He creates and He sustains until it is His will to change it.
