Looking back at the weekend and Monday Meditation combo

This past week was a tough one, my time was not my own but then again it never is.  It belongs to Him and He just had other priorities for me.  I'm beginning this week feeling like I'm slugging through concrete.  This week holds its challenges as well time wise, but I'm not going to repeat the mistakes of last week of not spending time in the Word and stressing out about all I have to do.

So here is Monday's Meditation:

[Eph 5:15-20 KJV] 15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

Make sure you are spending your time as God would have you to.

16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Make sure the way you are spending your time is going to count and follow you in to eternity; always bringing glory to the Lord.

17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord [is].

Do not be foolish, if you do not understand God's specific will for you, pray and ask Him to help you understand what that might be.  Until then, follow His general will for all believers to know Him, to obey Him, to bring glory to Him through your service to Him.

18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

Stress and disappointing things are going to happen...it is a fallen world.  Instead of numbing your feelings with alcohol, drugs, food or mind numbing entertainment to escape lean on your God.

19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

God's word is medicine, nutrition and life-sustaining to us.  We are not just to exist but to have joy and abundance as He defines it in this life.

20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Every gift, every experience, every breath of life is a chance to gain knowledge of and love our God.  Be grateful for it all!!!

For the Weekend although it has passed 😘

Interesting article:

We've all felt unnoticed or unappreciated at some point.  This article spoke to me and reminded me that even if no one else notices or appreciates what we do, God does and that is enough.

A Favorite Song:

The remedy to overcoming these feelings is what is put forth in Josh Wilson's song "I Refuse"  Listen to it here
