Thinking Thursday

[Rev 22:1-5 ESV] 1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb

I am guessing that it will be the most beautiful river I have ever seen.

2 through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

If I'm not mistaken there was a tree of life in the Garden of Eden.  Now we see a return of this particular tree in eternity.  Each month it will yield its fruit.  I find it interesting that the leaves will be for the healing of the nations.  I suspect that the first bit of time will be recovery time from what we have endured previously.

3 No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him.

Think of the most worshipful time you have experienced; the one that made you feel so lifted up.  Now take that times 1,000 and you may be approaching what worship will feel like at the throne of God.

4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.

We will see His face; He who is the definition of love.  We will be marked as His.

5 And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.

NO DARKNESS EVER!  He will be our light and it will be perfect.  We will be with Him never to be parted from Him.
