[Gal 4:6-11 KJV] 6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
You are now the closest of family.
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Jesus is your brother, God is your father and you are beloved.
8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
You may not have always known the one, true God but you were searching for something bigger than yourself.
9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
You are making a mistake, however, in turning back to a life without your Father because that is without hope.
10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.
You live life according to a schedule.
11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.
Paul wonders whether his efforts exercised on behalf of God have been wasted on you if they aren't going to change your life.
