Thinking Thursday

[Gal 5:1-6 KJV] 1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

There are two choices for people of faith:  grace or the law

2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

If you choose the law, then Jesus won't benefit you.  You are putting your faith in the law.

3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

You can't just pick and choose what parts you are going to follow.  You have to follow it all.

4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

The law is unforgiving, you follow it all or you don't.  Grace isn't available to those who follow the law.

5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

Faith builds righteousness with grace and understanding.

6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

Love for the Savior is the best motivator.
