And that would be godly wisdom, not worldly wisdom.
12 If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider [it]? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth [not] he know [it]? and shall [not] he render to [every] man according to his works? ...
We can deceive ourselves about our motives, but we can not deceive Him.
17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: ...
It's temptiing when we see someone who has been a thorn in our side get what's coming to them to celebrate with glee but God says no.
20 For there shall be no reward to the evil [man]; the candle of the wicked shall be put out. ...
Their end is a sad one and totally preventable. If only they had not insisted in doing everything their way instead of God's way.
24 He that saith unto the wicked, Thou [art] righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:
I can think of few things that irritate me more than hearing people who don't live their life according to God's standards and precepts being praised. If it ticks me off so much, just imagine how God feels.
