Wisdom Wednesday

[Pro 28:4-5, 9, 13, 28 KJV] 4 They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.

Are we not witnessing this statement lived out daily before our eyes?

5 Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all [things]. ...

Judgment is misunderstood by many because how dare someone even think of judging them...who do they think they are?  Judgment is one of God's ways to correct behavior so it conforms to His standards.

9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer [shall be] abomination. ...

So why should God hear your prayers when you won't listen to and follow His laws?  Part of any relationship is mutual respect.

13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh [them] shall have mercy. ...

Part of living authentically is to own up to your shortcomings.  Don't be like children who lie to avoid getting into trouble.  Own up to your mistakes and live in truth.  It is liberating.

28 When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.

Right now, it appears that world wide the wicked are rising to the detriment of all people everywhere.  When Jesus returns and the wicked perish, righteousness will be ushered in and the people will rejoice with all of their hearts.
