Thinking Thursday

[Phl 3:17-21 KJV] 17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.

Paul and others who obey Christ in all things are good examples to imitate and observe when on your Christian journey. 

18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, [that they are] the enemies of the cross of Christ: 

But beware of those wolves in sheep's clothing.  If they do not love and obey the Shepherd, then they are enemies of God.  If they are no different from the world, then they are enemies of God.

19 Whose end [is] destruction, whose God [is their] belly, and [whose] glory [is] in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

They are on the path to eternal separation from God, they live by lust and are proud of it and their priorities are on what the world considers success. 

20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

Those who truly follow Christ have an eternal view and their priority is to bring glory to Him in all things. 

21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

And an eternal reward awaits when we have been gathered to Him and then we will be fully conformed to the image of Christ.
