in "the duh, ministry is the work of the church" category.  With the rampant homeless problem, you would think the help would be welcomed.

in "the each Christian has to submit to the Lord's leading" category.  When have our leaders ever been perfect?  Never, because there has only been one perfect person in 6,000 years.  You give me a choice between a person who calls me a deplorable, homophobic bigot and another who says I have been forgotten for long enough and encourages me to not feel awful about my country and the force of good it has been in the world, and lets me practice my faith without interference, it is a no brainer for me.

in "the yeah, that's not how it works" category.  The Scriptures warn against the rewriting of God's word in three different places:

[Deu 4:2 ESV] 2 You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God that I command you.

[Pro 30:5-6 ESV] 5 Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. 6 Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar.

[Rev 22:18-19 ESV] 18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
