Timely Tuesday

Well the story this week is the miracle that Pastor Andrew Brunson was released from Turkish custody.  So thankful to God for his release and for the testimony that he has been given.

But what I really praised God for was how he prayed for our nation and for the president when given the opportunity:  see the C-Span coverage.  If you don't want to watch the whole thing start at 7:28.  We all knew he prayed for President Trump but so did his wife.  They set a great example for all of us that we need to pray for our leaders whether we agree with them but especially if we do not.

We are too dismissive of prayer sometimes.  I know from personal experience that when you start praying for people who have hurt me or disappointed me or made false judgments about me or those who have polar opposite beliefs from me, God ends up changing me; He gives me His view of such people and something is sparked within me to begin caring passionately for them.  I challenge you, dear readers, to pray for three people who perhaps you don't get along with or who irritate or frustrate you and earnestly pray for them for the next month and see if your attitude towards them isn't adjusted by God who loves you and them.

Then I would love to hear your testimony about this experiment.
