Wisdom Wednesday
[Ecc 1:16-18 KJV] 16 I communed with mine own heart, saying, Lo, I am come to great estate, and have gotten more wisdom than all [they] that have been before me in Jerusalem: yea, my heart had great experience of wisdom and knowledge.
Self examination is necessary to us all... to take stock in lessons that God has taught us.
17 And I gave my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly: I perceived that this also is vexation of spirit.
A good goal for everyone called by the Name is to search out His wisdom and to know what pursuits are crazy and worthless. To have such knowledge is painful at times when you witness such in your own life or in the lives of others.
18 For in much wisdom [is] much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.
There is pain in godly knowledge. I liken it to being a parent. As a parent you have more experience in life than your beloved child does. When you see them make problematic choices that you know in your heart will bring them unintended, hurtful consequences it twists your gut into knots and weighs down your heart.
