Faith can . . .

accomplish so much, according to the scriptures.

  • faith can provide for your needs - [Mat 6:30 ESV] 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
  • faith can obtain forgiveness -[Mat 9:2 ESV] 2 And behold, some people brought to him a paralytic, lying on a bed. And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven."
  • faith can make you and others well - [Mat 9:22 ESV] 22 Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, "Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well." And instantly the woman was made well. [Mat 15:28 ESV] 28 Then Jesus answered her, "O woman, great is your faith! Be it done for you as you desire." And her daughter was healed instantly.
  • faith can accomplish great things - [Mat 17:20 ESV] 20 He said to them, "Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you."
  • faith can help you receive - [Mat 21:22 ESV] 22 And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith."
  • faith can calm fear - [Mar 4:40 ESV] 40 He said to them, "Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?"
  • faith can cause God to marvel - [Luk 7:9 ESV] 9 When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turning to the crowd that followed him, said, "I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith."
  • faith can save - [Luk 7:50 ESV] 50 And he said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace."
  • faith can help you recover from defeat - [Luk 22:32 ESV] 32 but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers."
  • faith can add believers to the body - [Act 11:24 ESV] 24 for he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a great many people were added to the Lord.
  • faith provides opportunities - [Act 14:27 ESV] 27 And when they arrived and gathered the church together, they declared all that God had done with them, and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles.
  • faith can make you clean - [Act 15:9 ESV] 9 and he made no distinction between us and them, having cleansed their hearts by faith.
  • faith can take people from darkness to the light - [Act 26:18 ESV] 18 to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.'
  • faith is a witness in the world - [Rom 1:8 ESV] 8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed in all the world.
  • faith is an encouragement - [Rom 1:12 ESV] 12 that is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith, both yours and mine.
  • faith unites - [Rom 4:16 ESV] 16 That is why it depends on faith, in order that the promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his offspring--not only to the adherent of the law but also to the one who shares the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,
  • faith makes the impossible, possible - [Rom 4:19 ESV] 19 He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead (since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah's womb.
  • faith obtains peace - [Rom 5:1 ESV] 1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • faith gives us knowledge - [Rom 10:17 ESV] 17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
  • faith helps us keep a humble perspective - [Rom 12:3 ESV] 3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.
This is by no means an exhaustive list, just a scratching of the surface of this thought provoking word.
