Word Study Wednesday

I have prayed many times for patience.  God has certainly given me opportunity to develop this "fruit."  But, I will confess I still have work to do in this area.  Finding comfort in the words of James today:

[Jas 5:7 KJV] Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
[Jas 5:8 KJV] Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
[Jas 5:9 KJV] Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
[Jas 5:10 KJV] Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
[Jas 5:11 KJV] Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Be patient until the end, like farmers who wait on their crops.  Be patient because it won't be long. Be patient with your fellow humans.  Look to the OT prophets who were the definition of patience. Bringing a message long before it showed up the 1st time and messages that God wanted told but people didn't want to hear.  To endure means to be patient for God's will to be accomplished in His time and not when we think it ought to be.
