[Pro 23:4, 6, 12, 17, 23 KJV] 4 Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom. ...
Being rich should not be a goal. Being humble should.
6 Eat thou not the bread of [him that hath] an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats: ...
There are those who tempt others with luxuries...don't fall into their trap...they are manipulating you for their own purposes.
12 Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge. ...
This is where your time is best spent...learning about God and what He desires for our lives.
17 Let not thine heart envy sinners: but [be thou] in the fear of the LORD all the day long. ...
There is nothing to envy...they are on the path to eternal destruction. Fear (have respect) for who deserves it most...the Lord Almighty.
23 Buy the truth, and sell [it] not; [also] wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.
Truth, wisdom, instruction and understanding are the most useful and valuable gifts. Don't ever let go of them should you be fortunate to have them.
